Kuranda - August 2

A lovely day in the (very touristy but) very pretty town of Kuranda - one hour west of Cairns. Stopped on the way to walk around Lake Placid, then the Barron Gorge Hydro Power Station. The waterfall at this plant was incredibly tall!!

Arrived in Kuranda and ate a pizza (surprise!) lunch before walking around the various markets and river path. Ended our visit with a special tropical flavoured ice-cream. A quick walk to Barron Falls Lookout before heading 'home'.
